Seek the Choice of Allah -azwj (Istikhara) before getting married: ضا، فقه الرضا عليه السلام إِذَا أَرَدْتَ التَّزْوِيجَ فَاسْتَخِرْ فَامْضِ ثُمَّ صَلِّ رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَ ارْفَعْ يَدَيْكَ وَ قُلِ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أُرِيدُ التَّزْوِيجَ فَسَهِّلْ لِي مِنَ النِّسَاءِ أَحْسَنَهُنَّ خُلُقاً وَ خَلْقاً (The book) ‘Fiqh Al-Reza -asws ’, may the greeting be upon him -asws – ‘When you want to get married, seek the Choice (of Allah -azwj ) and continue.
Then pray two units Salat and raise (your voice) with that and say, ‘O Allah -azwj ! I want to get married, so Facilitate for me from the women, their best in manners and creation…!’(an extract).
