(an extract) [48] The Snooping is not allowed after marriage: مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ حَنْظَلَةَ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) إِنِّي تَزَوَّجْتُ امْرَأَةً فَسَأَلْتُ عَنْهَا فَقِيلَ فِيهَا فَقَالَ وَ أَنْتَ لِمَ سَأَلْتَ أَيْضاً لَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمُ التَّفْتِيشُ Muhammad Bin Yahya,from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Ali Bin Al Hakam, from Umar Bin Hanzala who said, ‘I said to Abu Abdullah -asws , ‘I married a woman, so I asked around about her, and it was said (certain things) about her’.

So he -asws said: ‘And you, why did you ask around about her as well? The investigation is not upon you’. [49] [1] Hence the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) urged the one who wants to get married to look at the woman.
