Then he (Imam Hassan Al-Askari -asws ) said...
Then he (Imam Hassan Al-Askari -asws ) said: ‘It was said to Amir-Al-Momineen -asws , ‘Who is the best of the creatures of Allah -azwj after the Imams -asws of Guidance and the lanterns for the darkness?’ He -asws said: ‘The scholars when they are righteous’. …. ثُمَّ قَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ: «فَوَيْلٌ لِلَّذِينَ يَكْتُبُونَ الْكِتابَ بِأَيْدِيهِمْ- ثُمَّ يَقُولُونَ هذا مِنْ عِنْدِ اللَّهِ- لِيَشْتَرُوا بِهِ ثَمَناً قَلِيلًا» الْآيَةَ.
Then Allah -azwj Mighty and Majestic Said: So woe be unto those who are writing the Book with their own hands, then they are saying, ‘This is from the Presence of Allah -azwj ’, in order to be taking a small price by with it. [2:79] – the Verse’’.
[65] (An Extract) 29- قب، المناقب لابن شهرآشوب التَّرْغِيبُ وَ التَّرْهِيبُ عَنْ أَبِي الْقَاسِمِ الْأَصْفَهَانِيِ أَنَّهُ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ فَقَالَ ع أَنْتَ رَجُلٌ مَطْلُوبٌ وَ لِلسُّلْطَانِ عَلَيْنَا عُيُونٌ فَاخْرُجْ عَنَّا غَيْرَ مَطْرُودٍ الْقِصَّةَ. (The book) ‘Al Manaqib’ of Ibn Shehr Ashub – (The book) ‘Al Targheeb Wa Al Tazheeb’ – From Abu Al Qasim Al Asfahany – ‘Sufyan Al-Sowry entered to see him -asws .
He -asws said: ‘You are a wanted man, and the Sultan has spies on us -asws , so go away from us -asws , without being expelled’ – the story’’. وَ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ صَالِحِ بْنِ حَيٍّ فَقَالَ لَهُ يَا ابْنَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ مَا تَقُولُ فِي قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى- أَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَ أَطِيعُوا الرَّسُولَ وَ أُولِي الْأَمْرِ مِنْكُمْ مَنْ أُولُو الْأَمْرِ الَّذِينَ أَمَرَ اللَّهُ بِطَاعَتِهِمْ And Al-Hassan Bin Salih Bin Hayy entered to see him -asws .
He said to him -asws , ‘O son -asws of Rasool-Allah -saww ! What are you -asws saying regarding Words of the Exalted: Obey Allah and obey the Rasool and those with (Divine) Authority from you [4:59] . Who are those with the (Divine) Authority, the ones Allah -azwj has Commanded with obeying them?’ قَالَ الْعُلَمَاءُ فَلَمَّا خَرَجُوا قَالَ الْحَسَنُ مَا صَنَعْنَا شَيْئاً إِلَّا سَأَلْنَاهُ مِنْ هَؤُلَاءِ الْعُلَمَاءِ فَرَجَعُوا إِلَيْهِ فَسَأَلُوهُ فَقَالَ الْأَئِمَّةُ مِنَّا أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ.
He -asws said: ‘The scholars’. When they went out, Al-Hassan said, ‘We should not do anything except ask him -asws about these scholars’. They returned to him -asws and asked him -asws . He -asws said: ‘The Imams -asws from us -asws , People -asws of the Household’’.
