‘It was the birth of al-Hassan -asws ibn Ali -asws ...

‘It was the birth of al-Hassan -asws ibn Ali -asws , Jibril -as descended to congratulate the Holy Prophet -saww , O Allah -azwj , Grant Compensation to Muhammad -saww and his family -asws worthy of their services to Your -azwj cause, on the seventh day and conveyed (the Message) to name him and give him a Kunyah, shave his head, offer ‘Aqiqah for him and pierce a hole in his ear.

When al-Husayn -asws was born Jibril -as came on the seventh day and conveyed (the Message) similarly.’ The Imam -asws then said: ‘They both had two bunches of hairs on the left middle side of their head and the hole was in their right ear on the loop and on the left one it was on the top of the ear.

Earring was in the right ear and al-Shanf (earring) on the left ear.’ It is narrated that the Holy Prophet -saww , left two bunch of hairs on the middle of their head and it is more correct than al-Qarn (the left middle of the head).
