This is the day that the curse descended upon the family of Ziyad -la , the family of Umayyah -la , and the son of the Eater of the Livers [9] – the cursed one and the son of the cursed one – who were (both) cursed by the tongue of Your Prophet -saww in every land and every place where Your Prophet -saww stopped. اللهم العن أبا سفيان و معاوية و على يزيد بن معاوية اللعنة أبد الآبدين اللهم فضاعف عليهم اللعنة أبدا لقتلهم الحسين ع O Allah -azwj ! Curse Aba Sufyan -la and Mu’awiyah -la .

Curse be upon Yazid, son of Mu’awiyah -la , for all eternity. O Allah -azwj ! Multiply the curses on them for killing Hussain -asws . اللهم إني أتقرب إليك في هذا اليوم في موقفي هذا و أيام حياتي بالبراءة منهم و اللعنة [باللعن‏] عليهم و بالموالاة لنبيك محمد و أهل بيت نبيك صلى الله عليه و عليهم أجمعين O Allah -azwj !

I seek nearness to You -azwj on this day and in this very place and everyday of my life by disassociating myself from them -la , by cursing them -la , and by adhering to Your -azwj -saww and the family of Your Prophet -saww – may Allah’s blessing be upon him -asws and upon all of them.

ثم تقول مائة مرة Then say one hundred times: اللهم العن أول ظالم ظلم حق محمد و آل محمد [آل محمد حقوقهم‏] و آخر تابع له على ذلك اللهم العن العصابة التي حاربت [جاهدت‏] الحسين و شايعت و بايعت [تابعت‏] أعداءه على قتله و قتل أنصاره اللهم العنهم جميعا O Allah -azwj ! Curse the first oppressor who usurped the rights of Muhammad -saww and the family of Muhammad -asws and curse every last person who followed him in that regard. O Allah -azwj !

Curse the party who fought against Hussain -asws , and paid allegiance to his -asws enemies -la and followed them -la in killing Hussain -asws and killing his -asws supporters. O Allah -azwj ! Curse them all.

ثم قل مائة مرة Then Say 100 times: السلام عليك يا أبا عبد الله و على الأرواح التي حلت بفنائك و أناخت برحلك عليكم مني سلام الله أبدا ما بقيت و بقي الليل و النهار و لا جعله الله آخر العهد من زيارتكم السلام على الحسين و على علي بن الحسين و على أصحاب الحسين صلوات الله عليهم أجمعين Salam to you -asws , O Aba ‘Abdillah -asws and to the souls who dismounted at your vicinity and stayed in your caravan.

I pray that Allah -azwj ‘s Salam be upon you for as long as I live and for as long as there is a night and a day. May Allah -azwj not make this the last time I perform your Ziyarah.
