It is alleged that Muslims failed to pay heed to the scarifies of Imam Hussainasws, as reflected by the character of almost all Muslims rulers and their followers, initially from Bani Ummaid and Bani Abbas, but continuing and spanning up to our time. \n Therefore it\u2019s important to understand the purpose of Imam Hussain\u2019s great sacrifice, what was achieved and what remained?

The Jihad (holy war) is out of scope of this short write up and interested readers may like to read one of our earlier publications on Jihad: \n http:\/\/hubeali.com\/articles\/JihadDuringOccultation_of_Imam_ajtf.pdf \n In this article, we will try to understand the purpose of Imam Hussain -asws \u2019s great sacrifice, through those Ahadith and \u2018Maqtal\u2019 [1] accounts, which have miraculously reached us \u2013 against the will of rulers of that time.\u00a0 Further dimensions and complete insight into the actions and adopted approach of Imam -asws will be revealed when the awaited Imam -ajfj of our time rises.

Ameen Suma Ameen. \n It is important to clarify here, why did Imam Hussain -asws opted for Jihad? \n Imam Hussain -asws acted in accordance to Divine Commands, as per the Instructions exclusively laid out for the Imam -asws in the Divine Tablet, see the Hadith in point 1 in the main conclusions.
