There are also Ahadith reporting the merits for combining the Sal\u0101ts (for the fulfilment of wishes and sustenance). \n The question arises if one can offer optional Sal\u0101t when combining the two Sal\u0101t, i.e, Al-Zohr and Al-Asr – with one Azan and two Aqamah (Azan, Aqamah, Al-Zohr Sal\u0101t followed by optional Sal\u0101t and then reciting only Aqamah before offering Al-Asr Sal\u0101t followed by optional Sal\u0101t).

\n Ahadith allow of this, however, Ahadith disallow for reciting optional Sal\u0101t between the two combined obligatory Sal\u0101t.\u00a0 Since time of Al-Asr starts shortly after Al-Zohr and Al-Isha with Al-Maghrib, one can combine these with reciting Azan, Aqamah, compulsory salat, optional salat and then Azan, Aqamah and 2 nd compulsory salat \u2013 in this case one will be acting on Sunnah, without any ambiguity.
