Away with this watermelon, and turn towards me (and said) I -asws narrate to you a Hadeeth which Rasool-Allah -saww narrated to me -asws with it, and his -saww hand was upon my -saww shoulder.
He -saww said: ‘Allah -azwj Blessed and High Tossed my -asws love upon the rock, and the mud, and the oceans, and the mountain, and the tree, so whatever responded to my -asws love is sweet and good, and whatever did not respond to my -asws love is bad and bitter, and I -asws believe that his watermelon is from what did not respond to my -asws love’.
When Rasool-Allah -saww passed away, he -ar stayed in his house and did not call the Azaan for anyone from the caliphs; and Abu Abdullah Ja’far -asws Bin Muhammad -asws said regarding him: ‘May Allah -azwj have Mercy on Bilal -ar , for he used to love us -asws the People -asws of the Household, and may Allah -azwj Curse Suheyb for he was inimical to us -asws ’. وَ فِي خَبَرٍ آخَرَ كَانَ يَبْكِي عَلَى عُمَرَ. And in another Hadeeth – ‘He (Suheyb) used to cry upon Umar’’.
