I no longer had any doubt about the second matter (mischief of hypocrites) which I observed after the passing away of the Holy Prophet -saww ; the mischief that took place, their return to disbelief and apostasy in religion, capturing the kingdom and altering the Quran.

Setting fire to the house of revelation, making innovations in Sunnah and reporting the amended Sunnah, denying the witness of the Commander of the Faithful -asws , falsifying Fatimah -asws – the daughter of the Messenger of Allah -saww and usurping the ‘Fadak’ from her -asws , pleasings the Jews, Christians and the Magians, and enraging the apple of the eyes of Musatafa -saww but still remaining unsatisfied.

And (going even further with) trying to change all of the Sunnah and preparing to kill the Commander of the faithful -asws , treating him -asws injustly, prohibiting the permissible of Allah -azwj and turning the prohibitions into permissible.

What they let for the people was the skin of the camel, and slapped the pure face -asws (Syeda -asws ), ascended the pulpit of the Messenger of Allah -saww , perpetrated injustice and was inimical and maligned the Commander of the Faithful -asws , while behaving foolishly in his (the first one) opinion.

Huzayfa said: ‘Allah -azwj had answered the prayer of my master -asws , when the hypocrite -la (Thani) died of his injuries from his killer, may Allah -azwj have mercy on his killer.’ Huzayfa says: On day, he went to the Commander of the Faithful -asws and congratulated him -asws on the killing and the revenge (which was taken from his -asws enemies). The Commander of the Faithful -asws responded: ‘O Huzayfa!

This is the day that about which Allah -azwj had Informed to the children of the Messenger of Allah -saww and I know seventy names of this day.’ Huzzayfa says, he asked: ‘O Commander of the Faithful -asws , I would love to hear the names of this ninth day of the month of Rabbi-ul-Awwal. Imam -asws replied: O Huzayfa!
