When they came to the city, they found a man praying to Allah -azwj with great devotion and desperation.

One of the angels then asked the other: \u2018Do you see this person praying?\u2019 The other angel replied: \u2018Yes, I have seen him but I must obey the Command which my Lord -azwj has Issued.\u2019\u00a0 The other angel said: \u2018No, I will not do anything before asking my Lord -azwj about it.\u2019 This angel returned to the presence of Allah -azwj and said: \u2018O Lord -azwj , I went to the city and found there one of Your -azwj servants, so and so praying to You -azwj and asking You -azwj in desperation and in a helpless condition.\u2019 The Lord -azwj said: \u2018You must do as you were Commanded to do; he is a man who has never even frowned for My -azwj sake as an expression of his anger against evil deeds\u2019.
