On the day of Eid, Allah -azwj Awards those who have remained faithful to His -azwj Commands and Scolds those who have violated the Divine Laws. The Rewards of Allah -azwj , however, are not similar to those of the kings (so are not worldly gifts like those exchanged by people) but are for the Hereafter – a permanent Abode.
Imam Hassan -asws disliked those Muslims who were laughing, joking and talking cheerfully on the Eid day and told his -asws companions that if the Veils are removed from their eyes they will realise the extent of the Punishment for the unsuccessful ones and the distribution of (heavenly) bounties for the successful ones.
In several Ahadith, which are the subject of this article, the Eid day is referred to as ‘Blissful’ but Muslims have made it ‘sad and sorrowful’ for the Ahl Al-Bayt -asws by taking away their Divine Rights over people, which excludes them from public gatherings and make them -asws sad.
