[1] \n Abu Abdullah -asws (6 th Imam -asws ) says regarding the (Surah) Al-Qalam: Noon and the Pen [68:1]. He -asws said: \u2018Allah -azwj Created the Pen from a tree in the Paradise called Al-Khuld. Then He -azwj Said to a river in the Paradise: \u201cBe ink!\u201d The river froze, and it was more intensely whiter than the snow, and sweeter than the nectar. Then He -azwj Said to the Pen: \u201cWrite!\u201d It said: \u2018O Lord -azwj! What shall I write?\u2019 He -azwj Said: \u2018Write what has happened and what is to be happening up to the Day of Qiyamah!\u201d The Pen wrote in a parchment more intensely whiter than the silver, and clearer than the sapphire. Then He -azwj Folded it and Made it to be in a corner of the Throne. Then He -azwj Sealed upon the mouth of the Pen, so it did not speak afterwards, nor will it be speaking, ever! \n It is the hidden Book from which are the copies, all of them. Aren\u2019t you all Arabs? So how come you are not knowing the meaning of the speech, and one of you tends to say to his companion, \u2018Copy that book\u2019? Or isn\u2019t he rather copying from a book taken from the original? And it is His -azwj Word: Surely, We would be Replicating whatever you would have done [45:29] \u2019\u2019. [2] \n \u2018A man entered to see Abu Abdullah -asws. He said, \u2018May I be sacrificed for you -asws! Inform me about Words of Allah -azwj Mighty and Majestic: Noon and the Pen, and what they will be writing! [68:1]. And as for Noon [68:1], it was a river in the Paradise, intensely whiter than the snow, and sweeter than the honey. Allah -azwj Mighty and Majestic Said to it: \u201cBe ink!\u201d So, it became ink. Then He -azwj Took a tree and Planted it with His -azwj Hands, and the \u2018Hand\u2019 is the strength, and it isn\u2019t where the resemblance would go to it. Then He -azwj Said to it: \u2018Be a Pen!\u201d Then Said to it: \u201cWrite!\u201d It said: \u2018O Lord -azwj! And what shall I write?\u2019 He -azwj Said: \u2018Whatever is to happen up to the Day of Qiyamah!\u201d It did that. Then He -azwj Sealed upon it and Said: \u2018You shall not speak up to the day of the known time!\u201d\u2019 [3] \n Tafseer Al-Qummi – So you shall be seeing, and they (too) shall be seeing [68:5] Which one of you is bewitched [68:6] \u2013 By which one of you, you are being bewitched, that is how it was Revealed regarding clan of Umayya, by which one of you, by Abu Hafr, and Zufer, and Ghufal. \n And Al-Sadiq -asws said: \u2018Umar met Amir Al-Momineen -asws and said, \u2018O Ali -asws! It has reached me that you -asws are interpreting this Verse regarding me and my companion (Abu Bakr), Which one of you is bewitched [68:6] \u2019. \n Amir Al-Momineen -asws said, \u2018Shall I -asws inform you, O Abu Hafs, what is Revealed regarding clan of Umayya? and the Accursed tree in the Quran; [17:60]?\u2019 Umar said, \u2018You -asws are lying, O Ali -asws! Clan of Umayya are better than you -asws are in maintaining relationship\u2019\u2019. \n His -azwj Words: So do not heed the beliers [68:8], he -asws said: \u2018Regarding Ali -asws, They wish that you should be pliant so they (too) would be pliant [68:9] \u2013 i.e., they would love it if you -saww were to be pliant (impressionable) regarding Ali -asws, so they would be pliant with you -saww. \n And do not heed a despicable oath-monger [68:10], he -asws said: \u2018Oath-monger is the second (Umar). He swore an oath to Rasool-Allah -saww that he will not break the pact\u2019. \n A defamer, malicious slanderer [68:11], he -asws said: \u2018He used to slander Rasool-Allah -saww and backbite between his companions\u2019. \n His -azwj Words: Preventer of the good [68:12], he -asws said: \u2018The \u2018good\u2019 is Amir Al-Momineen -asws \u2019. \n An excessive sinner [68:12], he -asws said: \u2018Yes, exceedingly upon it\u2019. \n His -azwj Words: Callous, after (all) that, ignoble [68:13], he -asws said: \u2018The \u2018callous\u2019, mighty of Kufr and the \u2018ignoble\u2019, a bastard\u2019. \n His -azwj Words: When Our Verses are recited to him, he says, \u2018Stories of the former ones\u2019 [68:15], he -asws said: \u2018A metaphor of the second one (Umar). Our -asws Signs (are shown), he says, \u2018Stories of the former ones\u2019 [68:15], i.e., they are lies of the former ones. \n We will soon mark him on the nose [68:16], he -asws said: \u2018During the Return (Raj\u2019at), when Amir Al-Momineen -asws returned, and his -asws enemies return, and he -asws would be branding them with a branding iron being with him -asws, just as the animals tend to get branded upon their noses, the nose and the lips\u2019\u2019. [68:1], he -asws said: \u2018So the (letter) Noon is a name of the Rasool-Allah -saww, and the Pen is a name of Amir-Al-Momineen -asws \u2019. He -asws said: \u2018O Kalby, for him -saww there are ten names. \n \u0648\u0645\u0627 \u0645\u062d\u0645\u062f \u0627\u0644\u0627 \u0631\u0633\u0648\u0644 \u0642\u062f \u062e\u0644\u062a \u0645\u0646 \u0642\u0628\u0644\u0647 \u0627\u0644\u0631\u0633\u0644 \n And Muhammad is not except for a Rasool; the Rasools have already passed away before him [3:144]. \n \u0648\u0645\u0628\u0634\u0631\u0627 \u0628\u0631\u0633\u0648\u0644 \u064a\u0623\u062a\u064a \u0645\u0646 \u0628\u0639\u062f\u0649 \u0627\u0633\u0645\u0647 \u0627\u062d\u0645\u062f \n And: giving glad tidings of a Rasool to come after me, his name being Ahmad \u2019. [73:1] \n \u0648\u064a\u0627 \u0627\u064a\u0647\u0627 \u0627\u0644\u0645\u062f\u062b\u0631 \n And: O Muddasar! So the \u2018 Zikr \u2019 is a name from the names of Muhammad -saww. We -asws are the \u2018Ahl Al- Zikr \u2019 (Family of Zikr ), therefore ask, O Kalby, about whatever comes to you\u2019. \n \u0642\u0627\u0644 \u0641\u0627\u0646\u0633\u064a\u062a \u0648\u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0627\u0644\u0642\u0631\u0622\u0646 \u0643\u0644\u0647 \u0641\u0645\u0627 \u062d\u0641\u0638\u062a \u0645\u0646\u0647 \u062d\u0631\u0641\u0627 \u0627\u0633\u0626\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0646\u0647 \n He (the narrator) said, \u2018But I forgot, by Allah -azwj, the Quran, all of it, and I could not recall a sentence I could ask him -asws about\u2019\u2019. And the Prophet -saww had upon him a Najrany scarf, which he placed it around his -saww neck, (which also encouraged him to ask). So he said, \u2018O Muhammad -saww! Forgive my -saww people, for they don\u2019t know (harm they are doing to me -saww )\u2019. So that is why Allah -azwj the Exalted Said: And you are upon magnificent morals [68:4] \u2019.
