Thawāb al-Aʿmāl wa ʿiqāb al-Aʿmāl - Punishments Chapter: Punishment of forgoing Amr bil Maroof and Nahy Anil Munkar أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی سَعْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ عَرَفَهَ قَالَ سَ٠ِعْتُ الرِّضَا ع یَقُولُ إِذَا تَرَکَ ا٠َعْرُوفِ وَ النَّهْیَ عَنِ الْ٠ُنْکَرِ فَلْیَأْذَنْ 1. Imam Ridha narrates that the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) said, “When my community stops enjoining good and restraining from evil, it should be prepared to wage war against Allah, hallowed be His name.”
