Chapter: The Minimum Number of Times One Should Go to the ZiyÄrah of Ĥusain (a.s.) and the Longest Time Allowed to Delay the ZiyÄrah for the Wealthy and Poor 13 ØÙدÙÙØ«ÙÙÙ٠أÙبÙÙ (رØ٠٠اÙÙÙ) عÙÙ٠أÙØÙÙ Ùد٠بÙÙ٠إÙدÙرÙÙس٠ÙÙ Ù ÙÙد٠بÙÙÙ ÙÙØÙÙÙ٠عÙÙ٠اÙÙعÙÙ ÙرÙÙÙÙÙ٠بÙÙ٠عÙÙÙÙÙ٠اÙÙبÙÙÙÙÙÙÙÙÙ ÙÙاÙÙ ØÙدÙÙØ«ÙÙÙا ÙÙØÙÙÙÙ ÙÙ ÙÙاÙÙ ÙÙÙ Ø®ÙدÙÙ Ùة٠أÙبÙ٠جÙعÙÙÙر٠اÙØ«ÙÙاÙÙÙ (ع) عÙÙ٠عÙÙÙÙÙ٠عÙÙ٠صÙÙÙÙÙاÙ٠بÙÙÙ Ù ÙÙاÙ٠عÙÙ٠أÙبÙ٠عÙبÙد٠اÙÙÙÙÙÙ (ع) ÙÙÙ ØÙدÙÙØ«Ù Ø·ÙÙÙÙÙÙ ÙÙÙÙت٠ÙÙÙÙ Ù ÙÙÙ ÙÙØ£ÙتÙÙÙ٠زÙائÙرا٠ثÙÙ ÙتÙÙ ÙÙعÙÙد٠إÙÙÙÙÙÙÙ ÙÙ ÙÙÙ ÙÙÙ Ù ÙÙسÙع٠اÙÙÙÙاس٠تÙرÙÙÙÙÙ ÙÙاÙÙ ÙÙا ÙÙسÙع٠أÙÙÙØ«Ùر٠٠ÙÙا بÙعÙÙد٠اÙدÙÙار٠ÙÙÙÙÙ ÙÙÙÙÙ Ø«ÙÙÙاث٠سÙÙÙÙÙÙ ÙÙÙ Ùا جÙاز٠ثÙÙÙاث٠سÙÙÙÙÙÙ ÙÙÙÙÙ Ù ÙÙØ£ÙتÙÙÙ ÙÙÙÙد٠عÙÙÙ٠رÙسÙÙÙ٠اÙÙÙÙÙÙ (ص) ÙÙ ÙÙØ·Ùع٠ØÙرÙÙ 13. My father narrated to me from Aḥmad ibn IdrÄ«s, and from Muḥammad ibn YaḥyÄ, from âAmraki ibn âAli Al-BÅ«faki, from YaḥyÄ â who was the servant of AbÄ« Jaâfar the Second (Imam JawÄd (a.s.)), from âAli, from SafwÄn ibn MihrÄn Al-JammÄl, who said: I asked AbÄ âAbdillÄh (Imam SÄdiq (a.s.)) â as part of a longer ḤadÄ«th, âAfter one returns from the ZiyÄrah of Ḥusain (a.s.), how soon should he return to his ZiyÄrah? And how often should one go to his ZiyÄrah? And what is the longest time one is allowed to stay away from his ZiyÄrah?â Imam (a.s.) replied: It is not permissible to stay away from his ZiyÄrah longer than a month (for those who live close to his grave). However, for those who live far from him, it (the ZiyÄrah of Ḥusain (a.s.)) should be (performed at least) once every three years. If three years pass and they do not go to his ZiyÄrah, they are (considered) ungrateful to the Messenger of AllÄh (s.a.a.w.) and they have dishonoured him, except those who have a (valid) excuse.
