However, as we will present, from the Qur’an and the Ahadith, there are proofs that there is absolutely no doubt that it was a physical ascension. \n In this article we will try to understand the following three questions: \n \n What was the main purpose of Miraj? \n Was there only one Miraj or multiple ones? \n From whom to whom or where was the \u2018distance of two bows or less\u2019 as per the Holy Verse [53:1] \n \n Answers to (1-2) are in Ahadith in the following sections.
For (3), it is important to clarify that the \u2018distance of two bows or less\u2019 is referred to as nearness of Rasool Allah -saww with the earth from the Heavens and not to Allah -azwj (Nouzobillah), as Allah -azwj is everywhere and cannot be confined to a fixed point, whether in earth or in heavens.
