Syed Razi has related from the Holy Imam Ali -asws that: ‘When a believer complains about his condition in front of a believing brother then this is as if he has complained in front of Allah -azwj while the one who complains about his condition in front of an unbeliever then it is as if he has complained about Allah -azwj .’ وفي ( الخصال ) عن الخليل بن أحمد ، عن أبي خزيمة ، عن أبي موسى ، عن عبد الرحمن ، عن سفيان ، عن الأعمش ، عن سليمان بن مسهر ، عن خرشة بن الحر ، عن أبي ذر ، عن النبي ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) قال : ثلاثة لا يكلمهم الله : المنان الذي لا يعطي شيئا إلا بمنة ، والمسبل إزاره ، والمنفق سلعته بالخلف الفاجر Abu Dharr -ra narrates from the Holy Prophet -saww that: ‘Three types of people are such that Allah -azwj will never Speak to them – The one who reminds his favours; the arrogant one; and one who spend his wealth on his mischievous son.’ Lending Money to others محمد بن يعقوب ، عن أبي علي الأشعري ، عن محمد بن عبد الجبار ، عن صفوان بن يحيى ، عن عبد الأعلى ، عن أبي عبدالله ( عليه السلام ) قال : قال رسول الله ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم ) : كل معروف صدقة Sheykh Kulayni has narrated from Abdul A’ala from the Holy Imam Ja’far Al Sadiq -asws : ‘It is the guidance from the Holy Prophet -saww that every favour is a form of charity.’ Every Favour is a Charity محمد بن يعقوب ، عن محمد بن يحيى ، عن أحمد بن محمد بن عيسى ، عن الحسن بن محبوب ، عن عبدالله بن سنان ، عن الوليد بن صبيح ، عن أبي عبدالله ( عليه السلام ) ـ في حديث ـ إنه تصدق على ثلاثة من السؤال ثم رد الرابع وقال : لو أن رجلا كان له مال يبلغ ثلاثين أو أربعين الف درهم ثم شاء أن لا يبقي منها إلا وضعها في حق لفعل ، فيبقى لا مال له فيكون من الثلاثة الذين يرد دعاؤهم ، قلت : من هم ؟ قال : أحدهم : رجل كان له مال فأنفقه في وجهه ثم قال : يارب ارزقني ، فيقال له : ألم أجعل لك سبيلا إلى طلب الرزق ؟ Sheykh Kulayni has narrated from Walid Bin Sabeeh that the Holy Imam Ja’far Al Sadiq -asws gave charity to three beggars one after the other and then turned the fourth one away empty handed and said: ‘If a person has thirty or forty thousand Dirhams and wishes to spend in good causes then he can do it but then he will have nothing left and then he will become like one of those three people whose supplication Allah -azwj does not accept.

The narrator asked: ‘And who is that one?’ The Holy Imam -asws replied: ‘One of them is the one who had a lot of money and he spent it all in good causes and then he supplicates to Allah -azwj to give him wealth.
