And Says...

And Says: Surely, (as for) those who believe and do good, their Lord will guide them by their faith; there shall flow from beneath them rivers in gardens of bliss (10:9). Abd Allah ibn Fazal Hashami says then I asked about the Words of Allah -azwj : . but Allah is the direction of my affair to a right issue, on Him do I rely and to Him do I turn.(11:88) .

And the meanings of the Words: If Allah assists you, then there is none that can overcome you, and if He forsakes you, who is there then that can assist you after Him? And on Allah should the believers rely (3:160). Imam -asws replied: When someone follows the Instruction of Amr Allah (Imam -asws ) then his actions are (ensured to be) as per the Commands of Allah -azwj and only then he will be regarded as guided by Him -azwj .

But when someone tries to commit sins against the Commands of Allah -azwj , Allah -azwj Obstructs him and when after realising, he moves away from committing that sin then it was only possible due to the help extended to him ‘Toufeeq’ [35] by Allah -azwj which assisted him in changing his mind to pursue that sin.

However, if he still pushes ahead and commits that sin then Allah -azwj leaves him alone and does not help him and does not provide him with means to guard (the Toufeeq) himself from committing sins.
