‘ Wasīlah ’ has also been construed in a number of ways: It has been transmitted from Imām al-Sādiq ( ‘a ) that during the Age of Ignorance, a camel would be named Wasīlah if it reproduced twins, and killing it as well as eating its meat were forbidden.
