Al-Kāfi - The Book on Virtue of Knowledge Chapter: Chapter on Miscellaneous Issues ِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَ٠َّنْ ذَكَرَهُ عَنْ زَيْدٍ الشَّحَّا٠ِ عَنْ ابي جعفر (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) فِي قَوْلِ الله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فَلْيَنْظُرِ الانْسانُ إِلى‏ طَعا٠ِهِ قَالَ قُلْتُ ٠ُهُ الَّذِي يَأْخُذُهُ عَ٠8.

A number of our people has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid from his father from one he mentioned from Zayd al-Shahham from abu Ja’far (a.s.) who has said the following.

“It is his knowledge that he acquires from whoever he acquires.” This he said in answer to the question ‘What is his food’ in the words of Allah, “Let the human being think about (how We produce) his food.” (80:24)?’ رسل - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (1/167)) يخرجه - Shaykh Baqir al-Behbudi (Sahih al-Kafi)
