Muhammad ibn Ismaâil has narrated from al-Fadl ibn Shadhan from Hammad ibn âIsa from Rabiâi ibn âAbdallah from al-Fudayl ibn Yasar, who has said the following. âI heard Imam abu âAbdallah (a.s.) saying, âAllah cannot be defined.
How can He be defined when He Himself has said in His book, âThey have not respected Allah the way He truly should have been respected.â (6:91) Therefore, He cannot be described in any way but that He is great and above that.ââ جÙÙÙ ÙاÙصØÙØ - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (1/353)) صØÙØ - Shaykh Baqir al-Behbudi (Sahih al-Kafi (1/15))
