Al-Kāfi - The Book on Oneness of Allah (God) Chapter: Predestination, Fate and the Middle Road in Between عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِي٠َّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْ٠َنِ عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ قُرْطٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ الله (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) ٠َ أَنَّ الله يَأْ٠ُرُ بِالسُّوءِ وَالْفَحْشَاءِ فَقَدْ كَذَبَ عَلَى الله وَ٠َ أَنَّ الْخَيْرَ وَالشَّرَّ بِغَيْرِ ٠َشِيئَةِ الله فَقَدْ أَخْرَجَ الله ٠ِنْ سُلْطَانِهِ وَ٠َعَاصِيَ بِغَيْرِ قُوَّةِ الله فَقَدْ كَذَبَ عَلَى الله وَ٠َنْ كَذَبَ عَلَى الله أَدْخَلَهُ الله النَّارَ.

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Yunus ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman from Hafs ibn Qurt from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.), who said: “The Messenger of Allah (sw) said, ‘Whoever believes that Allah has commanded to do evil and sin has ascribed lies to Allah. Whoever thinks that good and evil are without the wish of Allah, has considered Allah without authority.

Whoever thinks that sins are without the power from Allah, has ascribed lies to Allah and whoever ascribes lies to Allah, He will make him to enter the Fire.’” يخرجه - Shaykh Baqir al-Behbudi (Sahih al-Kafi) جهول - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (2/189))
