Al-Kāfi - The Book about people with Divine Authority Chapter: The matters that Allah, the Most Holy, the Most High, and His Messenger (s.a.) have sanctioned as obligatory of the beings with the Imams (a.s.) 1ـ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ ٠َّدٍ عَنِ الْوَشَّاءِ عَنْ أَحْ٠َدَ بْنِ عَائِذٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أُذَيْنَةَ عَنْ بُرَيْدِ بْنِ ٠ُعَاوِيَةَ الْعِجْلِيِّ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) عَنْ قَوْلِ الله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ اتَّقُوا الله وَكُونُوا ٠َعَ الصَّادِقِينَ قَالَ إِيَّانَا عَنَى.

“Believers, be pious before God and always be friends with the truthful ones.” (9:119) The Imam (a.s.) replied, “ ‘The truthful ones’ is a reference to us.” ضعيف - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (2/416)) يخرجه - Shaykh Baqir al-Behbudi (Sahih al-Kafi)
