Al-Kāfi - The Book about people with Divine Authority Chapter: The Imams (a.s.) are the Mines of Knowledge, the Tree of Prophet-hood and the Centers wherein angels Interchange َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ ٠َّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ الْ٠ُغِيرَةِ عَنْ إِسْ٠َاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ ٠َّدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠ِنِينَ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) إِنَّا أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ شَجَرَةُ النُّبُوَّةِ وَ٠َوْضِعُ الرِّسَالَةِ وَ٠َلائِكَةِ وَبَيْتُ الرَّحْ٠2.

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from ‘Adallah ibn Muhammad ibn ’Isa from his father from ‘Adallah ibn al-Mughirah from Isma‘il ibn abu Ziyad from Ja‘far ibn Muhammad (a.s.) from his father (a.s.) from Amir al-Mu’minin Ali (a.s.) who has said the following.

“We, the (family of the Holy Prophet), are the tree of the prophet-hood, the station of the Messenger-ship of (Allah), the center wherein the angels interchange, the house of blessings and the mine of knowledge.” يخرجه - Shaykh Baqir al-Behbudi (Sahih al-Kafi) شهور - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (9/3))
