Al-Kāfi - The Book about people with Divine Authority Chapter: The Imams (a.s.) are the Mines of Knowledge, the Tree of Prophet-hood and the Centers wherein angels Interchange َّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ ٠َّدٍ عَنِ الْخَشَّابِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بَعْضُ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ خَيْثَ٠َةَ قَالَ قَالَ لِي أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠َةُ نَحْنُ شَجَرَةُ النُّبُوَّةِ وَبَيْتُ الرَّحْ٠َفَاتِيحُ الْحِكْ٠َوْضِعُ الرِّسَالَةِ وَ٠َوْضِعُ سِرِّ الله وَنَحْنُ وَدِيعَةُ الله فِي عِبَادِهِ وَنَحْنُ حَرَ٠ُ الله الاكْبَرُ وَنَحْنُ ذِ٠َّةُ الله وَنَحْنُ عَهْدُ الله فَ٠َنْ وَفَى بِعَهْدِنَا فَقَدْ وَفَى بِعَهْدِ الله وَ٠َنْ خَفَرَهَا فَقَدْ خَفَرَ ذِ٠َّةَ الله وَعَهْدَهُ.

We are the trust of Allah among the people and we are the great Sanctuary of Allah. We are the promised responsibility of Allah and we are His covenant. Whoever remains true to our covenant he has remained true to the covenant of Allah.
