Al-Kāfi - The Book of Prayer

Chapter: Reading Chapters of the Holy Quran Which Involve Obligatory Sajdah َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدٍ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنِ الْقَاسِ٠ِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ بُكَيْرٍ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ عَنْ أَحَدِهِ٠) قَالَ لاَ تَقْرَأْ فِي الْ٠َكْتُوبَةِ بِشَيْ‏ءٍ ٠ِ فَإِنَّ السُّجُودَ زِيَادَةٌ فِي الْ٠6.

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from al-al-Qasim ibn ‘Urwah from ibn Bukayr from Zurarah who has said the following: “One of the two Imam, ‘Alayhim al-Salam, has said, ‘You must not read anything of al-‘Aza”im in any of obligatory Salah (prayer); Sajdah (prostration) becomes an addition in an obligatory Salah (prayer).’ جهول - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (15/119))
