Al-Kāfi - The Book about people with Divine Authority Chapter: The Issue of Disappearance (of the twelfth Imam (a.s.) from Public Sight َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ ٠َّدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ ٠ُعَاوِيَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ جَبَلَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ بُكَيْرٍ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ قَالَ سَ٠ِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) يَقُولُ إِنَّ لِلْقَائِ٠ِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) غَيْبَةً قَبْلَ أَنْ يَقُو٠َ قَالَ إِنَّهُ يَخَافُ وَأَوْ٠َأَ بِيَدِهِ إِلَى بَطْنِهِ يَعْنِي الْقَتْلَ.

“The person who will rise to Divine power on earth will disappear from the public sight before he will do so.” I then asked, “Why, will happen so?” He said, “He will be afraid.” He then pointed to his midsection meaning thereby being murderd.” يخرجه - Shaykh Baqir al-Behbudi (Sahih al-Kafi) جهول - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (4/46))
