Al-Kāfi - The Book about people with Divine Authority Chapter: The Birth of al-Husayn ibn Ali (a.s.) َّدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَسْبَاطٍ عَنْ سَيْفِ بْنِ عَ٠ْرَانَ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠ْرِ الْحُسَيْنِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠َا كَانَ ضَجَّتِ الْ٠َلائِكَةُ إِلَى الله بِالْبُكَاءِ وَقَالَتْ يُفْعَلُ هَذَا بِالْحُسَيْنِ صَفِيِّكَ وَابْنِ نَبِيِّكَ قَالَ فَأَقَا٠ْ ظِلَّ الْقَائِ٠ِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) وَقَالَ بِهَذَا أَنْتَقِ٠6.

Ahmad ibn Muhammad has narrated from Muhammad ibn al-Hassan from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa ibn ‘Ubayd from Ali ibn Asbat from Sayf ibn ‘Amira from Muhammad ibn humran who has said the following.

“Abu ‘Abdallah (a.s.) has said, ‘When all that happened to al-Husayn had happened, the angels wept and cried before Allah and said, “How such thing would happen to al-Husayn Your chosen one and the grand son of Your Prophet?” The Imam (a.s.) has said that Allah then showed to them the shadow of Al-Qa’im (the one who will rise with Divine Authority) and said, “Through him I will take My revenge.” يخرجه - Shaykh Baqir al-Behbudi (Sahih al-Kafi) وثق كالصحيح - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (5/367))
