Al-Kāfi - The Book about people with Divine Authority Chapter: The Fay’, al-Anfal, al-Khums, its rules and the properties subject to al-Khums َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدِ بْنِ أَبِي نَصْرٍ عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) قَالَ سَأَلْتُهُ عَ٠ِنَ اللُّؤْلُؤِ وَالْيَاقُوتِ وَالزَّبَرْجَدِ وَعَنْ ٠َعَادِنِ الذَّهَبِ وَالْفِضَّةِ ٠َا فِيهِ قَالَ إِذَا بَلَغَ ثَ٠َنُهُ دِينَاراً فَفِيهِ الْخُ٠21.

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from from Muhammad ibn al-Husayn from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn abu Nasr from Muhammad ibn Ali from abu al-Hassan (a.s.) who has said the following.

The narrator has said, “I asked him about what is taken out of the sea, such as pearls, ruby and chrysolite and minerals such as gold and silver and others as to how much is al-Khums on them?” The Imam (a.s.) said, “If it would value up to a Dinar then al-Khums is due on it.” جهول - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (6/280)) صحيح - Shaykh Baqir al-Behbudi (Sahih al-Kafi (63/ 1))
