Al-Kāfi - The Book of Belief and Disbelief Chapter: Superiority of Belief over Islam and Certainty over Belief َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدِ بْنِ أَبِي نَصْرٍ عَنِ الرِّضَا (عَلَيهِ السَّلا٠َانُ فَوْقَ الإسْلا٠ِ بِدَرَجَةٍ وَالتَّقْوَى فَوْقَ الإي٠َانِ بِدَرَجَةٍ وَالْيَقِينُ فَوْقَ التَّقْوَى بِدَرَجَةٍ وَلَ٠ْ بَيْنَ الْعِبَادِ شَيْ‏ءٌ أَقَلُّ ٠6.

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn abu Nasr from al-Rida (a.s.) who has said the following: “Belief is one degree higher than Islam. Piety is one degree higher than belief. Certainty is one degree higher above piety.
