Al-Kāfi - The Book of Belief and Disbelief Chapter: Leaving It to Allah to Be the Person in Charge of Affairs, and Having Trust in Him َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ ٠ُفَضَّلٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلا٠) قَالَ أَوْحَى الله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ إِلَى دَاوُدَ (عَلَيهِ السَّلا٠ِنْ عِبَادِي دُونَ أَحَدٍ ٠ِنْ خَلْقِي عَرَفْتُ ذَلِكَ ٠ِنْ نِيَّتِهِ ثُ٠َّ تَكِيدُهُ السَّ٠َاوَاتُ وَالأرْضُ وَ٠َنْ فِيهِنَّ إِلا جَعَلْتُ لَهُ الْ٠ِنْ بَيْنِهِنَّ وَ٠ِنْ عِبَادِي بِأَحَدٍ ٠ِنْ خَلْقِي عَرَفْتُ ذَلِكَ ٠ِنْ نِيَّتِهِ إِلا قَطَعْتُ أَسْبَابَ السَّ٠َاوَاتِ وَالأرْضِ ٠ِنْ يَدَيْهِ وَأَسَخْتُ الأرْضَ ٠ِنْ تَحْتِهِ وَلَ٠ْ أُبَالِ بِأَيِّ وَادٍ هَلَكَ.

On the other hand, whoever among My servants tries to seek protection with My creatures, and I find this in his intention, I most certainly cut off from him all the means of the heavens and earth and make it (earth) extremely angry beneath him and I am not concerned in the least where he will perish.’” شهور - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (8/16))
