Al-Kāfi - The Book of Belief and Disbelief Chapter: Gratitude and Thankfulness ِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ ٠ُيَسِّرٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلا٠) قَالَ شُكْرُ النِّعْ٠َةِ اجْتِنَابُ الْ٠ُ الشُّكْرِ قَوْلُ الرَّجُلِ الْحَ٠ْدُ لله رَبِّ الْعَالَ٠10.

A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid from certain individuals of our people from Muhammad ibn Hisham from Muyassir from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) has said, ‘Not to commit unlawful acts is a form of expressing thanks for a bounty.
