Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Muhammad ibn Sinan from abu Khalid al-Qammat from Humran from abu Ja’far (a.s.) who has said the following: “Abu Ja’far (a.s.) has said, ‘Regret for forgiving is better and easier than regret for being subjected to punishment.’” شهور حسن عند ي - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (8/194))
