Al-Kāfi - The Book of Belief and Disbelief Chapter: Silence and Restraint against Publicity َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْ٠َالِكِ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ عَنْ أَبِي حَ٠ْزَةَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ (عَلَيهِ٠) قَالَ وَدِدْتُ وَالله أَنِّي افْتَدَيْتُ خَصْلَتَيْنِ فِي الشِّيعَةِ لَنَا بِبَعْضِ لَحْ٠ِ سَاعِدِي النَّزَقَ وَقِلَّةَ الْكِتْ٠1.

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Mahbub from Malik ibn ‘Atiyyah from abu Hamza from Ali ibn al-Husayn (a.s.) who has said the following: “I, by Allah, love to bail out two things in my followers with parts of my arms: their rush for quick and lack of silence and restraint.” صحيح - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (9/186))
