Al-Kāfi - The Book of Belief and Disbelief Chapter: A Believer’s Signs and Qualities َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ ٠ُفَضَّلِ بْنِ عُ٠َرَ عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ الْعَطَّارِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيهِ السَّلا٠َا شِيعَةُ عَلِيٍّ الْحُلَ٠َاءُ الذُّبُلُ الشِّفَاهِ تُعْرَفُ الرَّهْبَانِيَّةُ عَلَى وُجُوهِهِ٠20.

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Muhammad ibn Sinan from Mufaddal ibn ‘Umar from abu Ayyub al-‘Attar from Jabir who has said the following: “Abu Ja’far (a.s.) has said, ‘The Shi’a (followers) of Ali (a.s.) are only those who are forbearing, scholars, with parched lips and one can find signs similar to those of the monks on their faces.’” جهول عند ي - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (9/248))
