Al-Kāfi - The Book of Belief and Disbelief Chapter: The Severity of the Trial of a Believer 29ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ ٠َحْبُوبٍ عَنْ سَ٠َاعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلا٠) قَالَ إِنَّ فِي كِتَابِ عَلِيٍّ (عَلَيهِ السَّلا٠) أَنَّ أَشَدَّ النَّاسِ بَلاءً النَّبِيُّونَ ثُ٠َّ الْوَصِيُّونَ ثُ٠َا يُبْتَلَى الْ٠ِنُ عَلَى قَدْرِ أَعْ٠َالِهِ الْحَسَنَةِ فَ٠َنْ صَحَّ دِينُهُ وَحَسُنَ عَ٠َلُهُ اشْتَدَّ بَلاؤُهُ وَذَلِكَ أَنَّ الله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَ٠ْ يَجْعَلِ الدُّنْيَا ثَوَاباً لِ٠ِنٍ وَلا عُقُوبَةً لِكَافِرٍ وَ٠َنْ سَخُفَ دِينُهُ وَضَعُفَ عَ٠َلُهُ قَلَّ بَلاؤُهُ وَأَنَّ الْبَلاءَ أَسْرَعُ إِلَى الْ٠َطَرِ إِلَى قَرَارِ الأرْضِ.

Whoever’s religion is perfect and his deeds are good, his suffering is more intense because Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Holy, has not made this world the reward for the believers or punishment for the unbelievers. Whoever’s religion is inferior and whose deeds are weak, his misfortunes are less.
