It is narrated from him (narrator of the Hadith above) from his father from Ibn Abi âUmayr from Ibrahim ibn âAbd al-Hamid from ibn âUsamah who has said the following: âI heard Abu âAbdillah (a.s.) saying, âSeek refuge with Allah from His striking you at night or during the day.â I (the narrator) asked him, âWhat is Allahâs striking?â The Imam said, âIt is Allahâs punishing for sins.ââ ÙØ«Ù - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (9/401))
