Al-Kāfi - The Book of Belief and Disbelief ِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْ٠َدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِهِ رَفَعَهُ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلا٠ْحَقَةٌ لِقَلْبِ الْحَكِي٠ْلِكْ غَضَبَهُ لَ٠13.

A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn ‘Abd Allah from certain individuals of his people in a marfu’ manner has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) has said, ‘Anger darkens the heart of a wise person.’ The Imam then said, ‘One who loses control of his anger loses his power of reason.”’ رفوع - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (10/153))
