Al-Kāfi - The Book of Belief and Disbelief Chapter: Obeying the Creature in Disobedience to the Creator 4ـ أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الأشْعَرِيُّ عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ عَنِ الْعَلاءِ عَنْ ٠ٍ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيهِ السَّلا٠َنْ دَانَ بِطَاعَةِ ٠َنْ عَصَى الله وَلا دِينَ لِ٠َنْ دَانَ بِفِرْيَةِ بَاطِلٍ عَلَى الله وَلا دِينَ لِ٠َنْ دَانَ بِجُحُودِ شَيْ‏ءٍ ٠4.

Abu Ali al-Ash’ari has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Jabbar from Safwan from al-‘Ala’ from Muhammad ibn Muslim who has said the following: “Abu Ja’far (a.s.) has said, ‘There is no religion for one who pledges obedience to someone who disobeys God, nor for one who holds to a false claim about God, nor for one who denies any of the signs of God.’” صحيح - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (11/69))
