Al-Kāfi - The Book of Supplication Chapter: Al-Mubahalah (Pleading Before Allah for Help Against the Enemy) َّدُ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَ٠ِيدِ عَنْ أَبِي جَ٠ِيلَةَ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِهِ قَالَ إِذَا جَحَدَ الرَّجُلُ الْحَقَّ فَإِنْ أَرَادَ أَنْ تُلاعِنَهُ قُلِ الله٠َاوَاتِ السَّبْعِ وَرَبَّ الأرَضِينَ السَّبْعِ وَرَبَّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِي٠ِ إِنْ كَانَ فُلانٌ جَحَدَ الْحَقَّ وَكَفَرَ بِهِ فَأَنْزِلْ عَلَيْهِ حُسْبَاناً ٠َاءِ أَوْ عَذَاباً أَلِي٠5.

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Hamid from abu Jamilah from certain individuals of his people who has said the following: “If a man rejects the truth and if he is ready for renunciation then say, ‘O Lord, the Cherisher of the seven heavens and seven earths, and Lord of the great Throne, if so and so has rejected the truth and denied it, send upon him misfortune from the sky or a painful punishment.’” وقوف - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (12/189))
