Al-Kāfi - The Book of Supplication Chapter: The Word in the Morning and Evening ِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ ٠َّدٍ الأشْعَرِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ الْقَدَّاحِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلا٠ٍ يَأْتِي عَلَى ابْنِ آدَ٠َ إِلا قَالَ لَهُ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْ٠ٌ جَدِيدٌ وَأَنَا عَلَيْكَ شَهِيدٌ فَقُلْ فِيَّ خَيْراً وَاعْ٠َلْ فِيَّ خَيْراً أَشْهَدْ لَكَ بِهِ يَوْ٠َةِ فَإِنَّكَ لَنْ تَرَانِي بَعْدَهَا أَبَداً قَالَ وَكَانَ عَلِيٌّ (عَلَيهِ السَّلا٠َرْحَباً بِاللَّيْلِ الْجَدِيدِ وَالْكَاتِبِ الشَّهِيدِ اكْتُبَا عَلَى اسْ٠َّ يَذْكُرُ الله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ.

You will never see me thereafter.’ The Imam said that Ali (a.s.) in the evening would say, ‘Welcome to the new night, and witnessing ascribe. Both of you write down in the name of Allah.’ Then he would speak of Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Holy.’” ضعيف - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (12/228))
