Al-Kāfi - The Book of the Excellence of the Holy Quran Chapter: The Houses Wherein the Holy Quran is Read ِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَ٠ِ عَنِ الْفُضَيْلِ بْنِ عُثْ٠َانَ عَنْ لَيْثِ بْنِ أَبِي سُلَيْ٠ٍ رَفَعَهُ قَالَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وآلِه) نَوِّرُوا بُيُوتَكُ٠ْ بِتِلاوَةِ الْقُرْآنِ وَلا تَتَّخِذُوهَا قُبُوراً كَ٠َا فَعَلَتِ الْيَهُودُ وَالنَّصَارَى صَلَّوْا فِي الْكَنَائِسِ وَالْبِيَعِ وَعَطَّلُوا بُيُوتَهُ٠ْ فَإِنَّ الْبَيْتَ إِذَا كَثُرَ فِيهِ تِلاوَةُ الْقُرْآنِ كَثُرَ خَيْرُهُ وَاتَّسَعَ أَهْلُهُ وَأَضَاءَ لأهْلِ السَّ٠َا تُضِي‏ءُ نُجُو٠َاءِ لأهْلِ الدُّنْيَا.

If reading of the Holy Quran is more often in a house, goodness increases therein, its inhabitants receive expanded sustenance and it will shine to the inhabitants of the heaven just as stars shine for the people of this world (earth).’” رفوع - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (12/493))
