A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from certain individuals of his people from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) has said, ‘The Holy Quran is not to be used for omens or prophecy.’” ضعيف - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (2/518))
