Al-Kāfi - The Book of Social Manners َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَ٠َّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي حَ٠ْزَةَ عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلا٠) لا تُفَتِّشِ النَّاسَ فَتَبْقَى بِلا صَدِيقٍ. 2.

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Ali ibn al-Hakam and Muhammad ibn Sinan from, Ali ibn abu Hamza from abu Basir who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) has said, ‘Do not be a spy against people; you will remain without friends.’”
