Al-Kāfi - The Book of Social Manners Chapter: Sitting in a Leaning or Folded Posture in the Mosque َّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَسْبَاطٍ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلا٠) قَالَ لا يَجُوزُ لِلرَّجُلِ أَنْ يَحْتَبِيَ ٠ُقَابِلَ الْكَعْبَةِ. 5.

It is narrated from him (narrator of the Hadith above) from Muhammad ibn Ali from Ali ibn Asbat from certain individuals of our people from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following: “It is not permissible for a man to perform al-’Ihtiba’ across the Ka’bah.” ضعيف - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (12/566))
