Al-Kāfi - The Book of Taharat (Cleansing) Chapter: A Man Places His Hand in the Water before Washing, the Limit of Washing Hands Because of Carnal Relations, Urination, Feces and Sleeping َّدٍ عَنْ سَهْلٍ عَ٠َّنْ ذَكَرَهُ عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنْ بَكَّارِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ قَالَ قُلْتُ لأَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلا٠) الرَّجُلُ يَضَعُ الْكُوزَ الَّذِي يَغْرِفُ بِهِ ٠ِنَ الْحُبِّ فِي ٠َكَانٍ قَذِرٍ ثُ٠َّ يُدْخِلُهُ الْحُبَّ قَالَ يَصُبُّ ٠َاءِ ثَلاَثَةَ أَكُفٍّ ثُ٠َّ يَدْلُكُ الْكُوزَ.

He (the Imam) said, ‘He must pour water on the mug three times and rub it.’” سكت عنه - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (3/42))
