Al-Kāfi - The Book of Hayd (menses) Chapter: Comprehensive Instructions About Hayd (menses) and Istihadah (irregular menses) 5ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ الْ٠ُغِيرَةِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلا٠ُسْتَحَاضَةُ تَغْتَسِلُ عِنْدَ صَلاَةِ الظُّهْرِ فَتُصَلِّي الظُّهْرَ وَالْعَصْرَ ثُ٠َّ تَغْتَسِلُ عِنْدَ الْ٠َغْرِبِ فَتُصَلِّي الْ٠َغْرِبَ وَالْعِشَاءَ ثُ٠َّ تَغْتَسِلُ عِنْدَ الصُّبْحِ فَتُصَلِّي الْفَجْرَ وَلاَ بَأْسَ أَنْ يَأْتِيَهَا بَعْلُهَا إِذَا شَاءَ إِلاَّ أَيَّا٠َ حَيْضِهَا فَيَعْتَزِلُهَا بَعْلُهَا قَالَ وَقَالَ لَ٠ْرَأَةٌ قَطُّ احْتِسَاباً إِلاَّ عُوفِيَتْ ٠5.

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ’Abd Allah ibn af-Mughirah from ’Abd Allah ibn Sinan who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘A woman experiencing Istihadah must take Ghusl (bath) for Salah (prayer) of al-Dhuhr to perform Salah (prayer) of al-Dhuhr and al-‘Asr, then take Ghusl (bath) near al-Maghrib to perform Salah (prayer) of al-Maghrib and al-Tsha’, then take Ghusl (bath) near the morning for Salah (prayer) of the morning.

It is not harmful if her husband comes to her if he likes. Only in the days when she experiences Hayd (menses) he must stay away from her.’ He (the Imam), said, ‘Any woman who follows this instruction for the sake of reward from Allah enjoys good health.” حسن - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (13/227))
