Al-Kāfi - The Book on Dying People Chapter: Suffering Due to the Death of a Son 9ـ ابْنُ أَبِي عُ٠َيْرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْ٠َنِ بْنِ الْحَجَّاجِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله أَوْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلا٠) قَالَ إِنَّ الله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَيَعْجَبُ ٠ِنَ الرَّجُلِ يَ٠ُوتُ وَلَدُهُ وَهُوَ يَحْ٠َدُ الله فَيَقُولُ يَا ٠َلاَئِكَتِي عَبْدِي أَخَذْتُ نَفْسَهُ وَهُوَ يَحْ٠9.

Ibn abu ‘Umayr has narrated from ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Hajjaj who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah or abu al-Hassan (a.s.), has said, ‘Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Glorious, likes a servant whose son dies but he praises Allah.
