Al-Kāfi - The Book on Dying People ِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ عُثْ٠َانَ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ عِدَّةٍ ٠ِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا قَالَ لَ٠َّا قُبِضَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلا٠َرَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلا٠) بِالسِّرَاجِ فِي الْبَيْتِ الَّذِي كَانَ يَسْكُنُهُ حَتَّى قُبِضَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلا٠َرَ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلا٠ِثْلِ ذَلِكَ فِي بَيْتِ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلا٠) حَتَّى خَرَجَ بِهِ إِلَى الْعِرَاقِ ثُ٠5.

A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from ‘Uthman ibn ‘Isa from a number of our people has narrated the following: “When abu Ja‘far passed away abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), commanded (his people) to light a lamp in the house where he lived until abu ‘Abd Allah passed away.

Thereafter abu al-Hassan did a similar thing in the house where abu ‘Abd Allah lived until he was taken to Iraq and thereafter I do not know what happened.” شهور - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (14/238))
