Muhammad ibn Yahya in a marfuâ manner has narrated the following: ââAmir al-Muâminin (a.s.), has said, âA prophet of the prophets prayed against his followers. It was said to him, âI will make their enemy to dominate them.â He said, âNo, I do not want this.â It was told to him that hunger would dominate them.
He said, âNo.â He then was asked, âWhat do you want?â He replied, âI want for them a pressing death to seize the heart with grief and reduce the number.â Plague was then sent upon them.ââ رÙÙع - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (14/265))
