Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi âUmayr from âUmar ibn âUdhaynah from Zurarah who has said the following: âI asked abu âAbd Allah (a.s.), âPeople say that performing Salah (prayer) in congregation is more virtuous than twenty-five Salah (prayer) performed alone. Is this true?
5 The Imam replied, âWhat they say is right.â I then asked, âCan two people be considered a congregation?â He (a.s.), said, âYes, but one should stand on the right side of the prayer leader.ââ Øس٠- Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (5/250))
